Our picturesque town is about one hours drive [45km] south of Adelaide, South Australia. Nestled near the foothills, on the Fleurieu Peninsula and not far from the beaches, the town is surrounded by farmland, almond groves, olive trees and leafy vineyards in the McLaren Vale wine & tourism region.

Willunga was established in 1839 when the Government Reserve was a tentage area and a Depot for surveyors, Police and settlers.
Willunga was an important stop-over point for early travelers to Encounter Bay further south. Make the Alma in Willunga your stopover

We offer marvelous country fare at country prices. Local wines at very reasonable prices that will augment your karma, and enhance your outlook on life

We are a tradition that is timeless. This is why we are a heritage true country pub, a living South Australian treasure. The Alma is a proud sponsor of the Willunga Demons. Go demons.

So come and enjoy our pub the locals do. As do people from all over the world who come to feast on our sumptuous food. The kangaroo proved to be a favourite as was the salad bar.

You will find us at 11 Hill street Willunga, the home of the world famous Willunga farmer's market.
